Small plane crashes into big rig at San Pedro Harbor, killing pilot

The plane, a Piper PA-32, departed from Zamperini Field in Torrance at 11:47 a.m., National Transportation Safety Board spokesman Peter Knudson said. It was not immediately clear where the aircraft was headed when it crashed shortly before 12:30 p.m..
