Bay Area's hospital capacity continues to drop as state struggles with COVID-19 surge

COVID-19 hospital admissions are slowing statewide, but the Bay Area's intensive care unit capacity continues to decline, Gov. Gavin Newsom said Monday. The region's intensive care beds are at 9.5 percent availability, down from 13.7 percent last week.
